Peter Waldo ( - )

Identified by Emanuel Mendes da Costa as Charles Dubois's heir and husband of his daughter, who inherited (it would seem) of part of Dubois's collection (207). He says he saw a remnant of Dubois's collection of shells, fossils, and other objects "at Mr. Waldo's, junior, about 1760" (207). This is probably a second Peter Waldo (1732 or 1733-1803), son of the first and author of An essay on the Holy Sacrament of the Lord's Supper (1798), whose title page identifies the author as "Peter Waldo, Esq; of Mitcham." Relevant locations: Residence at Mitcham, Surrey
