Thomas Smith, Rev. (3 Jun 1638 - 11 May 1710)

Scholar and divine. He served as chaplain to Sir Daniel Harvey, ambassador at Constantinople 1668-1671 and traveled in the region. Later in life he became friends with Sir John Cotton, grandson of Sir Robert Cotton, and was responsible for the Cotton library.
