John Hutton ( - 1712)

Scottish physician (M.D. Padua and Oxford) and Member of Parliament. Appointed court physician in 1689. He was awarded M.D. at Oxford and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1697. From 1710 to 1712, he sat in Parliament as the representative for Dumfries. He is probably the Dr. John Hutton who donated a subscription to Petiver's Gazophylacii.
