Godfrey Copley, 1st Baronet (1623 - 1678)

Created baronet by King Charles II in 1661. In 1663 he was part of a commission tasked with investigating the Yorkshire Plot (also known as the Farnley Wood Plot) to overturn the monarchy. Relevant locations: Lived at or near Sprotbrough, Yorkshire
