Alexander Pudsey (1636 or 1646 - 1721)

Rector of Tubney and fellow of Magdalen College (from 1661), Oxford, holding various offices at the university, including Junior Dean of Arts 1669, Senior Proctor 1670, Bursar 1671, 1676, 1682, 1687, 1688, 1693 & 1699, Dean of Divinity 1675, Vice-President 1678. He matriculated from Magdalen in 1658, receiving his B.A. 1658-9, M.A. 1661, then incorporated at Cambridge 1664, proceeding B.D. 1671 and D.D. 1679-80.
