Annotation:Regarding the location of Robert Hubert's collection, Sir John Hawkins speculates that "this house was situated in London-house Yard, at the north-west end of St. Paul's church, and on the very spot where now stands the house known by the sign of the Goose and Gridiron: for the tradition is that it was once a music-house" (700). Dead Pubs confirms that the Mitre eventually became the Goose and Gridiron.
